Find a Mobile Veterinarian

Find a vet who comes to your home. This list covers mobile vets and regular clinics that make house calls for dogs and cats. Search by state.

Why see a vet at home? A car ride and a busy waiting room can be hard on a pet who is unsteady, scared, or in pain. After a stroke, some dogs and cats have trouble standing, walking, or keeping their balance. A home visit can make check-ups, senior care, and end-of-life care calmer for them and for you. The vet can also see where your pet lives, like stairs and slippery floors. Blood pressure readings are more accurate at home too (see below).
Before you call: a mobile vet can't do everything a hospital can. If your pet suddenly can't stand, has a seizure, or is struggling to breathe, go to an emergency clinic first. Most mobile vets only cover certain areas, and some have waitlists, so ask if they serve your address and are taking new patients. Tags on each card show who offers euthanasia at home, hospice care, or end-of-life care only.
This list was checked against each practice's own site as of October 2026. Hours, staff, and service areas change with little notice, so call ahead before you count on any one practice. The Canine Stroke Foundation does not operate, endorse, or guarantee any practice listed here. Know one we're missing, or one that's changed? Email us.

Get Blood Pressure Checked at Home When You Can1–5

If your dog or cat needs a blood pressure check, having it done at home is the best option. A trip to the clinic is stressful, and stress can push blood pressure up for a while. Vets call this situational hypertension, and it is less likely to have as big an effect when blood pressure is measured at home. A falsely high reading can make it look like your pet has high blood pressure (hypertension) when they don't. Getting a true reading matters, because high blood pressure is one of the most common other health problems found in dogs and cats with stroke. When you call a mobile vet, ask if they can check blood pressure during the home visit.
